The Archive of Ik has always been a place for Iksar to gather and post cool bits of lore, as well as discuss lore topics with one another. Lately, though, the need for an actual, full-on community site has dwindled, and post counts have dropped since the transition from guild portal.
Hits have still been just as high as the other site, however. It's just that people are using the site for exactly the reason it was founded; to give people a resource when it comes to Iksar Lore. With that, the Archive is going to... archive... its discussion boards, and focus on what it does best: Be a lore resource to curious visitors!
There are plenty of other places to discuss lore. The EverQuest II Official History and Lore Boards are teeming with activity. This is a great place to discuss any new findings. I will also be setting up a way to contribute new lore articles.
