History:
Xulia was born a proud and aristocratic Iksar with a lineage dating back to the days of Dominus Rile. She was trained in the arts of the Shadow Knight and allied with her family in the Spirestone Sisterhood. In the days preceding the Shattering, Xulia was a cheerful individual. She enjoyed life and wanted simply to live her days in peace. When she and her family were called upon to investigate and end the gods' scheming in the Plane of Time, a calamity occured. Zebuxoruk, the Forsaken, ripped open a portal within the timestream.
Xulia arrived in the period known as "The Shattering". She was pulled from the raging waters of the ocean by a softskin captain and crew aboard a ship called "The Far Journey" and taken to an island with others like her. Xulia noticed when she arrived on the island that only one of her family had survived: Jatranisa Spirestone. She also noticed that something terrible had happened to both of them. Their strength and abilities were stripped of them and Xulia's legendary Khukri of Rile, the Greenmist, was gone.
Many moons passed as Xulia grew in service of Lucan D'Lere and his dark army. She gained favor in the social and military ranks by serving with the Knights of Freeport under Lord Pallidmortis and Lord Uros Hellbane. it was in those days that she became aware of her curse, one that was placed in her since birth.
Xulia was possessed by the soul of Jaled'Dar, a great black dragon from the days far preceding The Shattering. Jaled'Dar's own malicious will poured into the Iksar and gave her incredible power, including the ability to mark others for death when Jaled'Dar was able to take physical shape outside of it's vessel. Through the combined efforts of the Knights of Freeport as well as the Vagabond Knights of Qeynos, Jaled'Dar was extracted from Xulia and successfully banished into the endless dark of The Abyss.
After the events of Jaled'Dar transpired, Xulia set out on a quest to find her homeland. She arrived in Kunark and beheld once more the glorious shores of her heritage. Xulia proceeded to retrace her ancestry and discover the newly reborn Kunark. To her disgust, she found that the Iksar had been divided once more into tribes. She gained favor with each of the tribes by performing various duties and tasks, proving not only her loyalty to them, but that she had strength with which to rule them as well.
It was many months before word returned to Freeport. Whispers of a gathering Kunarkian army flooded the taverns and street corners and the people of Freeport grew fearful. Attempting to unite and control this vast army was the one who had walked their streets clad in dark red and black armor. The Iksar maiden who served under the most feared military regime in Lucan's court was now gathering forces and planning to launch an assault on Freeport itself.
Xulia was gathering her forces, but had one last thing to perform. She travelled alone into the raging inferno of the Skyfire Mountains where dragonkind dominated all other forms of life. Xulia climbed to the top of Veeshan's peak and there declared war on all of dragonkind again, claiming that soon the Iksar regime will rise united and burn the dragon from the pages of history.
Veeshan did not let this call go unanswered. Scores of ancient and angry wurm and droag flooded the jagged rock plain and called for Xulia to descend and fight them all. Her malicious will had never been stronger. Xulia raised her hand heavenward and proclaimed to all of Kunark, "I am the Empire returned in all of its former glory...You shall soon come to know me...As God!"
In speaking those words, Xulia summoned the most deadly weapon in the Iksar arsenal, the Greenmist. The plague descended upon the dragonkin and burned their flesh away like water sifting mud. Their screams were heard all across Kunark as they fled before the Iksar maiden. But Veeshan was far from done.
In a final effort, Veeshan appointed one soul to end Xulia's maddened life and path of destruction. There, upon the face of Veeshan's peak, Jatranisa Spirestone was reincarnated and given back her former strength. Xulia's rage crested at this sight and she rushed to destroy her reborn sister. But Veeshan, being among the wisest of the Pantheon, imbued Jatranisa with her own strength.
Xulia's greenmist magicks were completely inneffective against her own Iksar kin and Jatranisa knew that this was the only way to end the madness. Jatranisa grabbed hold of her sister and threw both of them into the caldera of Veeshan's Peak. As they descended further toward a fiery end, Xulia looked briefly into Jatranisa's eyes, and saw happiness. And for a short moment, Xulia once again felt happiness return to her heart.
The two sisters were consumed in the flame, ending the lives of two great Crusaders. Xulia had seen and done much evil in those days, but in her final hour she had felt once again just as she had over five hundred years ago. At last, Xulia Spirestone would find peace.
But peace was not what she found in death. Xulia's blackened soul was cast into the dark of The Void. For what felt like an eternity Xulia was tormented. In her torments she faced a cruel reality: Xulia was not who she originally believed. The Kunark she left behind as a younger Iksar was lost, and so was she. It wasn't until the recent Void anomalies that she was able to wrest her way out of the Void. The world she arrived in showed that what seemed like centuries of torture to her was only aged a single year, but much had changed.
It did not take her too long to find her way back to Freeport only to find that many of those she had made enemies had since departed. Something must have happened to them but she was not sure what. The only thing that she knew in her reformed mind was this: Xulia had to regain some form of power in this changing world and the costs be d**ned. She is not sure what her destiny is at this point, but she has crawled from Hell itself and will stop at nothing to find why she's really here in this time.
