With GU 52 bringing Kurns Tower to the table, there might be some new lore coming our way. Keep your eyes out, folks! I would definitely want to get it put on the Archive for others to read  . |

During Fan Faire, I had the privilege to sit down with both Kaitheel and Cronyn to discuss future lore that they were incorporating into the game, both in regards to the Iksar, and in regards to the void. Kurns tower was indeed touched on. (SPOILERS BELOW! BEWARE BEFORE READING ON!)It seems that, by all rights and accounts, the burynai invasion was a facade. When Kurn became knowledgeable that his tower was being stormed, he turned toward an ancient artifact that was in his possession. This artifact attracted the attention of the void, and Ione the Lifebringer claimed him as her servant. We also have new information telling us that Rile was using the tower to hide potent artifacts from his father, promoting Kurn to General in trade for keeping these from Venril. I'm going to be composing this information into new articles for the Archive's EverQuest II Lore Library, but feel free to discuss in the meantime . |
